ABOUT

Welcome to the Jacksons Online!

People asked us why we were interested in producing a website once our baby was on the way. Is there a purpose? Is there a point? Do we have deep, meaningful thoughts and revelations to share with the planet? Or is this just a self-centered, ‘hip’ way of logging some of the most inane moments of our lives? We decided that it was probably mostly that last one, but hopefully you find a little of that other stuff on here too. Additionally, this is one way we can continue to communicate with our family & friends who may not to get to speak to us or see us as frequently as they’d like.

There are a handful of players you’ll come across in this skit. Most prevalent are “Savvy Husband” and “Lovely Wife”. Wife is unquestionably more lovely than Husband is savvy, but those are the monikers chosen to represent ourselves here in the public forum. Savvy Husband and Lovely Wife have been married since the start of 2007. We are surrounded by many supportive friends and family who we thank God for frequently. We have both completed our masters degrees in our respective fields of work and are blessedly employed in our current city. Our pseudo-child is a sweet Shiba Inu dog named ‘Amber’ who is a joy to have around the house. We also welcomed our real-child into the world at the start of 2011. “Darling Daughter” will undoubtedly become the star of many-a-post, but hopefully only in the “aww, she’s adorable” kind of way and not the “sheesh, these parents are totally full of themselves” kind of way.

Finally, a few words about our site: feel free to read around as you please. If comments are open on a particular post and you have something you’d like to share with everyone else reading the site, you will need to submit it with your name and email address. It will then go through a filter and will ultimately be ‘approved’ and show up on the page. Depending on the day, this may take some time and it may not show up immediately. This sort of setup helps us avoid attracting the spam-bots and other anonymous voices that we may not care to have speaking on our family-friendly site. If you need to contact us one-on-one, please locate another mutual friend or close family member and ask them for that information as we have not found a way we are comfortable with posting this information online. With all that being said, we hope you enjoy the efforts we have to share with you!

Peace,

The Jacksons
